Kurds at the Crossroad
All across the Middle East, the Kurds are at a historic crossroad. 30-40 million Kurds (the largest state-less people) spread across Iraq, Syria, Turkey and Iran are up against proverbial rocks and hard places on all sides—but they are not alone.
In light of the destruction of the territorial Caliphate, evolving dynamics of the Syrian war, heightened tensions between Israel and Iran, escalating Turkish aggression, the jostling of Russian and American interests in the region, and a hundred other watershed developments, we believe it is time to pray and fast for the Kurdish world.
On April 16 the FAI family is beginning 21 days of concerted prayer and fasting for #KurdsAtTheCrossroad (specifically in Iraq, Syria, Turkey, and Iran) that will run parallel with a dollar-for-dollar financial campaign (up to $10,000 USD) thanks to the generosity of an FAI Partner. All of the funds raised during this campaign will go toward medicine and medical supplies for isolated and at risk communities in Iraq and Syria.
